Ryan Johnson
The foundation of Ryan’s design career began not with grueling critiques or art history classes, but rather with differential equations and graphing calculators. Ryan is an engineer. With a strong background in AutoCAD and 3D modeling, he left his position at an architectural firm almost 10 years ago to co-found The Envision Group, a small design shop in Boston. Ryan served as the Creative Director until 2001, initially working on video and animation projects for clients such as This Old House and Genzyme. As the internet flourished, his (and his clients) attention shifted to the web where Ryan discovered his true calling… interaction design. Today Ryan works with a number of small design firms. He transforms their designs into working websites, with particular attention paid to web standards, flexible architecture and extensibility.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Worcester Poly Tech, and a Master of Engineering from Cornell University.
